How do I find an agent that can help me get acting jobs?

How?

Agents don’t get you acting jobs . . .
They send you to auditions, sometimes . . . you must book the job with your talent and EXPERIENCE.

Sounds to me like you need to first, get experience. You MUST do that without an agent; because no agent is going to sign you without training and experience. There’s no way around that reality. No matter what how much you want it or dream it. Agents are in business to get money, 10% of what you earn in bookings, and you have to be able to book the job. You can only do that with know-how.

If you’re still in high school . . . here’s how you the training and experience necessary:
If you’re older, jump to the college part . . .

Take your school’s drama/choir . . .
Do the school plays . . .

Do community theatre, right where you are . . .

Finish school . . . Do well in school with your grades in all subjects.
Apply to a performing arts college . . .
Go to college . . .
Learn something besides acting . . .
Study business . . .

Agents and Managers come after you’ve done all of this and have great training and lots of experience in school plays, community theatre, etc., etc.

The only thing hard is trying to “make it happen” at this minute. You have lots of time. And if you’re not in a big city, i.e., Los Angeles, CA or New York City or Chicago, IL>> An opportunity is unlikely. You eventually have to move to one of those cities, unless you’re already there…
