acting class for kids

acting class for kids
How do you feel about the whole class getting punished when only a few kids are acting up?

Have you, or your child, ever been the one who did everything you were supposed to do, only to be punished by a teacher or principal because some kids were misbehaving? Are you okay with that? If not, what should be done instead?
BTW- I work at the school. Some teachers and some admins do this. I think it’s heinous and cowardly. Stand up to the “evil-doers!” and let the innocent pass! Seriously, I think it’s reprehensible!

When I was in elementary school, a few kids were acting up and everyone was punished. After having all of our heads on our desks for awhile, we had to write an essay apologizing to the teacher for misbehaving. Instead of doing that, I wrote an essay on how unfair it is to be punished for something I had nothing to do with, how we should be innocent until proven otherwise and how I refused to apologize. Needless to say, my teacher sent my essay home. My mother, however, liked my essay and hung it on the fridge for a long time.
I don’t recommend this because the teacher will not like it, but I think it’s important for kids to stand up for themselves so that they are not walked all over from “bigger” people later in life.
